My name is Jim Grieshaber and I am the Director of Sundown Mountain Alternative Education Program. I am excited to begin my 18th year in education and my first year as the Director of Sundown Mountain. This is my fourth year as an administrator in the Dysart Unified School District. The previous 3 years I have served as the Assistant Principal at Dysart High School and prior to that, I was a Middle/High School teacher and coach for 14 years.
As the Sundown Mountain Director, I am very excited to provide opportunities for our students and promote a positive and safe campus environment. As a faculty, we are committed to provide the best education promoting (relationships, relevance, rigor, and reflection) for all students. We hold a collective commitment to each and every student.
Sundown Mountain is located on the beautiful campus of Shadow Ridge High School located at the cross streets of Perryville Road and Peoria Avenue. We are housed in the bottom floor of the 1000 building.
I look forward to the opportunity to working with the Sundown Mountain community as we move into our new home at Shadow Ridge.
