Dear Parents, Guardians, Students, Staff and Community,
As we approach the 2010-2011 school year, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and thank you for your desire to be a part of our great educational team. It is through our dedication and compassion that we educate our children, one student at a time.
Our theme for this year is “Reflect, Refine, Reach”. As we reflect upon last year’s performance, we will refine our instruction so the students have an opportunity to reach their highest potential. As the educational leader of this school, it is my commitment to the staff, students, parents and community, to support the educational programs of each child.
I challenge the community to become an integral part of our team, to become involved in our day to day operations, but most importantly to support the educational system as a whole. Desert Moon will foster an environment which provides every child an opportunity to give their personal best to achieve academic excellence. To do this, we will focus on student engagement, mastery of basic skills, and building positive character traits. We embrace the responsibility of creating a safe and positive educational environment that will encourage life-long learning and prepare our students to meet today’s challenges.
Our goal is to provide a quality education to all students. This task can be accomplished, if as a team, we commit ourselves as an integral part of our educational plan. I applaud your commitment to our children, as we work towards supporting them and their dreams.
