  School Mission

Vision

The vision of Sonoran Heights Elementary School is to develop a community of independent, successful, life-long learners.

Mission

Our mission encompasses the goal of providing ALL students with a safe, positive and challenging learning environment. Our mission is to work in a committed partnership with students, staff, parents and community to develop the social, emotional, academic and physical well-being of all students. We empower our students to become responsible and productive citizens in their community and world by developing their critical thinking skills. We nurture student expression through immersion in literacy, the fine arts, mathematics, technology and the sciences. Our school provides multiple opportunities for students to strive for individual excellence, creating a desire for life-long learning. As a result, Sonoran Heights Elementary students demonstrate positive self-esteem, self-discipline, self-expression and academic individualism. Their use of effective communication and social skills, developed through information literacy and the use of technology, enables them to not only become leaders on campus, but positive role models in our community.
