Parking Lot Safety Reminders
Student safety is paramount to the success of all Dysart students and schools. Ensuring that students are safe in all school environments is a priority for all Dysart staff. To assist parents and students with student safety in school parking lots, safety procedures in the parking lot and drop off lane are provided by each school. Additionally, parents and students should follow these guidelines:
· Always proceed with caution in all school parking lots and drop off lanes
· Follow the direction of school personnel while dropping off or picking up students
· Students should only enter and exit vehicles on the curbside. Please do not have students walk around vehicles to enter a car or while exiting
· Parents and students are to cross the drop off lane only in designated areas. At no time should students or parents weave in between cars while crossing the drop off lane
· Students should be accompanied by parents while in the parking lot
· Please adhere to school regulations and procedures for each individual parking lot and drop off lane
Parking Lot Procedures
As part of making our school a safe place for children, we have revised the drop-off and pick-up procedures. Please help us keep Thompson Ranch students safe by assisting us with these procedures.
The EAST parking loop is for students being dropped-off and picked-up up by parents. Students will enter and exit the school at this location. Parents will drive forward in a single file linealong the pick-up curb. Never double park to wait in this area. Students will only be allowed to enter a vehicle that is curbside. At no time is a student allowed to enter the parking lot area. Do not leave your vehicle in the loop unattended at any time.
If you must walk your child in or out of school, please park in the FRONT or EAST parking lot.
The FRONT parking area is designated pick-up and drop-off for our kindergarten students only. At no time is any vehicle allowed to park along the marked fire lane. Kindergarten parents may park in this lot or our EAST lot to drop-off or pick-up their child.
Our WEST parking loop is for Bus loading and unloading of our students. Parent vehicles are not to enter this parking loop at any time. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in ensuring the safety of our children.
