Thompson Ranch staff welcomes you and your child to the 2009/2010 school year!   Go Jaguars!

Thompson Ranch students and staff made great strides last year and we are proud to announce that Thompson Ranch is a Performing Plus school! Our students exceeded their goals on the AIMS test and this year we will set the bar even higher.   Students will take our benchmark test 4 times this school year and together teachers and students will use the results of each benchmark to set new individual goals each quarter.  

We will continue to implement many of the programs we started last year: EXCEL math, Study Island Math and Study Island Reading, and Read Naturally to name a few.   We will also be adding a structured writing process and a vocabulary building time which will include the study of Greek and Latin roots. 

Thompson Ranch will provide an environment where every single child gives their personal best everyday to achieve academic excellence.  To do this we will focus on student engagement, mastery of basic skills, and building positive character traits.  

Our calendar is filling up with lots of fun activities and parent involvement events. Please check the web page often. We want to thank you for your support last year and  remind you that with such a tight state budget we will be counting on our parents even more this year as we continue  our Journey to becoming an Excelling school. Thompson Jaguars are the Best; we outshine ALL the rest!
