Parent Pick-up Procedures

RE:                 Procedures for Arrival/Dismissal

Arrival

  • Students are permitted on campus at 7:55.
  • Please drop students off only at curbside.
  • Please ensure that students are on time for class. Tardies disrupt procedures that have already begun in the classrooms as well as prevent your child from experiencing a smooth beginning to his/her day.

Dismissal

  1. Parent Pick-Up
Many students are picked up after school.  We ask that parents consider the following:

  • Dismissal is at 3:00. Some parents arrive as much as ½ hr. early for dismissal. Traffic will be less congested if parents stagger their arrival times and arrive at school between 3:05 – 3:10 .
  • Students are not to step into the flow of traffic in the center lane to get into a vehicle.
  • Cars in the pick-up lane must NOT be left unattended. This impedes the flow of traffic.
  • Permit children to walk or ride a bus home when the weather begins to cool.
  • If you wish to leave your car, please make use of one of our two parking lots.
  • Parking is prohibited in the fire lane and in the center lane.

  1. KINDER Area
·         First graders will be escorted through the gate prior to Kinder children being released.
·         We are requesting that parents do not exit cars or enter the gated area to take their child.
We want and need to be able to ensure that each child is placed in the hands of
     the appropriate adult.
·         Some kinder teachers will walk students to their respective vehicles. Others will
release students to parents who have walked to school.

Thank you for your patience and support as we try to ease the flow of traffic and provide a safe environment for students.
