Dear Surprise Families,
Dear Parents:
As the weather starts to cool down from the typically hot Phoenix days, we note a chill in the air as we get our children ready for school. Another observation comes to mind, and that is one associated with the holidays which will soon be upon us.
But for now, our thoughts are on Thanksgiving Day plans. Yes , we all will be able to enjoy a few days off from school and work, but it is also a time to look back and reflect on all that we have for which we are thankful. One of the many things associated with the Thanksgiving holiday is the cornucopia. The cornucopia is a basket that is overflowing with fruit, and is a symbol of wealth and abundance. At this time of year, we invite you to take a few moments and share with your son or daughter the people for which you are thankful, and encourage your child to do the same. I would also like to invite every Surprise Family member to come sometime before December 18th to visit your child’s classroom for at least 15 minutes to experience the learning that is happening in your child’s classroom. At Surprise Elementary we are thankful for all your support as we strive together to provide the best possible education for your child. On behalf of the entire faculty and staff at Surprise Elementary School, to wish you a happy Thanksgiving. We hope to see you at our Thanksgiving lunch on November 19th or sometime before December 18th. We hope your cornucopia overflows with abundance.
If you haven't gotten a chance to visit Surprise Elementary yet please preview our school by clicking the link below and then clicking on the 40 minute final video.
Sincerely,
Dr. David Dumon
